Real Machines Aren’t Pristine. Now Your App Testing Isn’t Either | Rimo3

WorkspaceDNA Release

Windows 365 Validation Ring, Patch360 Evergreen Automation, and a Unified Clarity360 Experience

💻See app testing on persistent Windows 365 Cloud PCs

There’s a quiet lie at the heart of most application testing: the clean machine.

Until now, app validation — ours included — ran on a pristine Cloud PC, restored to a clean snapshot after every test. Beautiful. Repeatable. And nothing like the machines your users actually work on.

Real machines have history. They have last year’s version of the app still installed. They have settings someone changed in 2023 and forgot about. They have the residue of every update, every install, every “I’ll fix that later.” And when an upgrade fails in production, it almost never fails on a clean machine — it fails on a real one.

This release closes that gap.

Windows 365 Validation Ring: Test the Upgrade Your Users Will Actually Live Through.

With our new Windows 365 Validation Ring, your application tests now run on persistent Cloud PCs that keep their state — existing apps, existing versions, real history. Instead of installing fresh onto a blank slate, the new version installs on top of the old one, exactly the way it will in your production estate.

That means the failure modes that only show up in the real world — version conflicts, leftover registry state, in-place upgrade quirks — now surface in a true-to-production smoke test before deployment, not in a flood of service desk tickets after.

For endpoint management, EUC, and desktop engineering teams, this is the difference between “it passed testing” and “it will pass on Monday morning.”

Patch360: Evergreen Patching That’s Actually Hands-Off — Including the Cleanup

Evergreen patching was supposed to be set-and-forget. Mostly, it was — except for one thing: the old versions.

Superseded app versions lingered in Intune and in your storage accounts with no retention control. Cleanup was manual, easy to forget, and storage isn’t free. “Hands-off patching” came with a hidden chore.

Not anymore. Patch360 now includes:

  • Automatic cleanup of superseded versions. Set how many versions you want to retain, and Patch360 removes the rest as new versions supersede them — in Intune and in storage. No more version pile-up, no more manual housekeeping.

  • Multiphase evergreen templates, end-to-end. Create or edit evergreen templates with multiple deployment phases for proper ring-based rollout — with better sequence control and improved stability throughout.

Evergreen patching is now truly evergreen: new versions flow in, old versions flow out, and nobody on your team has to think about either.

Clarity360: One Platform, One Experience

Intune Clarity now feels like part of the main platform, not a side door. This release brings unified login, consistent navigation, and a UI that matches the rest of WorkspaceDNA — so moving between Clarity insights and the rest of your workflow is seamless.

Also in This Release

Storage: MPO support for existing storage accounts.
